SPI Futures traded in a 35 point range Friday night, with a high of 6354, low of 6319 and a close on Saturday morning of 6350, up 31 points, on lowish volume of 7,107 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. DOW up .75 pct, SNP up .96 pct and Canada (resource driven) up .51 pct. VIX down 10.75 pct to 12.87. Yes, one better than expected job number and it's all wonderful again. We shall see. Gaps from Friday night down at 6345, 6344, 6342, 6340, 6337, 6328 and 6318 then the rest. Gaps up at 6351 and 6353 from Friday night and 6361, 6371 and 6382 from previous days. Have a nice day. Oh, and the ES just opened err, 50 odd points lower - but nobody cares about that do they ? Maybe it's an Omen..., and probably means a nice gap down on da SPI.

Today in 1937, the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed during its attempt to dock with its mooring mast at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in the United States. Of the 97 people on board (36 passengers and 61 crewmen), there were 35 fatalities. One worker on the ground was also killed, making a total of 36 dead. The disaster, caught on newsreel coverage and in photographs shattered public confidence in the giant, passenger carrying Zeppelins and marked the end of the airship era. Not to be confused with the Hindenburg Omen, a once talked about technical analysis pattern, named after the disaster, promoted by Jim Miekka, who gave up on the theory that it portended a stock market crash in 2010. I guess they both went up in flames.
