Monday Sep 26th FX Gaps

Morning everyone

Today 9 out of 10 gaps on the weekly FX gap watchlist have closed. The 1 remaining open is the AUDGBP which has been opening and is currently at around 17 pips with a 4 pip spread, so I'm watching this one to look for a suitable turning point marker. The watchlist table as it stands is as follows:



Last week that GBPJPY gap from August 22nd finally closed when the JPY spiked on BOJ news - see chart below. It took 31 days to close and offered approx 780 pips at the maximum width. A bit of a hairy ride for me given I entered a trade when it was only open by around 100 pips, but it got there in the end (see details in updated 22/8/2016 table) below).







This leaves only the 3 GBP Brexit weekend gaps from this year still open, and that GBPJPY gap from last year. Will continue to watch these for an opportunity to close.
