    I am not clued up on buying shorts and longs and the VIX confuses me because I think there short is long and long is short?

    So if you are short the DOW (US30?) and long the VIX, you win if the DOW drops and again if at the same time the VIX bounces?

    Be gentle if I have this arts about.
