@big e Must be just xmas time and people desperately need things done and tradies trying to take advantage? It is either that or they don't need the work and give a stupid price if they accept it is win win, if not it doesn't bother them.
I was at a place today and a chick in a courtyard at one of the places I do told me about her hedge dilemma. Had 2 companies come out to quote her for a hedge that was 8m long, 1.5m wide and 2.4m high. Just wants it back to neat and tidy.... First crowd $550 then crowd $440. Her previous guy $100 cash in the hand but has since retired. There wouldn't even be 1hrs work there, maybe 40mins tops. Not sure why she didn't ask me but as the $440 crowd was booked the next day she said you can do it on going from then on? I had to take a picture of it cause no one would believe the stupid prices for such a small job.
