even I'm not that pessimistic. The technological advancements in the past 10 years are totally astounding. I now have full net access, email, camera, mp3 player, GPS, FM radio and computer with 8Gb memory, weighing im under 100g in my left hip pocket. It even picks up wireless network at home.
Can you imagine where the energy tech, transport, food manufacture, medical care, housing, water manufacture is headed.

It will be totally transforming.

Get real. The depression is good because basically it will transform the financial system into something sustainable.
But be warned the currencies are the things to watch. There is something enormous brewing which could really jolt for a bit.

20 years. NO WAY. 3-5 max and then a slow rise from the ashes and the knowledge your kids will never want a credit card.

Start growing veges. I have. They will be hard to find for a while.
