Well said rolf2903, when I researched AKP and MEMS tech, it took about 3-4 hours of work to know what they were trying to achieve. It seems like the author of this article just threw up his hands and gave up as soon as he saw a few big words. The author implies that AKP have created this mysterious MEMS thingamigigga, completely ignoring the fact that this is a very REAL technology, with a semiconductor manufacturers lined up and assisting in wafer development (Teledyne DELSA & Sony).  Couple this with the agreement with ICsense to develop the driver and you have all the components needed to reach market.

In terms of capital expenditure, AKP have been very sensible in their cost management thus far. In the last 6 months, R&D costs have increased, but if we get to public demonstrations this year, it will be worth the investment.
