I'm still bullish on volatility. He is a long term chart of the VIX showing historically important levels. I have only shown 5 years on the chart but the support levels are significant for the last two decades. If we stay at these levels until the beginning of next year, I would suggest the option traders of the world will be looking at "long volatility" type trades en mass (assuming they are on xmas wind down already)
