Chinalco says it wants twice the stake in RIO that they bought on Friday and are seeking FIB approval.
They have already demonstrated that they are prepared to pay well above the odds so it is hard to see RIO price dropping regardless of what happens with BHP's bid.
BHP also should continue to move north as a re-rating of RIO has occured & that will flow through to a re-rating of BHP at nominally somewhere between the ratios of 3 & 3.5 to 1
