Wouldn't surprise me. I also have heard (through a major US broker's mkt summary ) that there is US$3 1/2 trn sitting in cash accounts (the inference was that the amount will move towards higher returning investments - probably - equities sooner or later !) Maybe they should just try and net what they can and try from near scratch again !? :)
Joking aside, that is what I suspect is coming up - US treasury setting up a "bad bank" sooner or later ... just a guess of course, but the flow of info is heading that way in my opinion ... then we might start to see some reverting to mean on various instruments !?? Thus my interest ...
