As much as they attempt to separate themselves by sticking to the 'catalytic conversion' line, HZR is trying to commercialise a form of methane pyrolysis. As such, their progress is of interest.
My point, since you have decided to come onto this forum and comment, is that it is not an easy thing to do. EDE had the idea many yrs ago and partnered up with the University of Queensland to develop a simplified methane pyrolysis process. Since then they have automated it into a continuous process that has been patented and expanded. These reactors have been in use since 2017. CNTs are a much more valuable product than graphite or hydrogen. EDE is in the process of commercialising them and this takes time and money. The SP reflects that difficulty in the extremely difficult economic conditions of the past couple of yrs.
HZR's was 27c at IPO and went up to $1.77. It is now 60c. Even if all goes to the new plan, they will not have any meaningful data into it's viability until the end of the year at the earliest. MIN has already attempted it and they declined to continue. It seems to me the process is not economically viable after having to purify the graphite. But we shall see, eventually.
