Agreement Signed For Uranium Exploration Near Honeymoon Mine

Another agreement to explore for uranium near Broken Hill has been signed.

Marmota Energy is spending $600,000 and will have access to 51 percent of the uranium rights at the Junction Dam project, which is only 10 Kilometres from the Honeymoon uranium mine.

Marmota managing director Dominic Calandro says drilling is due to begin in October.

"An exploration target of something similar to Honeymoon is what we are shooting for, that sort of size and upwards," he says.

Signatories to the agreement are Teck Australia (a subsidiary of the Canadian owned company Teck), and South Australian companies Marmota Energy, PlatSearch NL and Eaglehawk Geological Consulting.
