Looks like Wildash and the team have put together another money making machine leveraging off thier 5500 ATM network.
Matt McGrath (Ex Y & R Brands ) Michael Stanford ( Ex Y + R ) and Customers Ltd are shareholders in Transaction Media. a new company selling adds on ATM screens. Mr Grath said a national ad campaign would cover about 4 million transactions a month with Transaction Media charging 3.5 cents to 5 cents an ""impression "" - do the math ! Telstra's Big Pond division and Nivea for Men have run adds with three more companies already signed up. On the 13th of August market update on Customers Ltd 2009 full year results Wildash said the Company would continue to focus on cost rationalisation,
service delivery and generating additional revenue streams such as advertsing on ATM's amongst other things. Appears they have they have followed through big time with this revenue stream promise.
We already know about the fabulous new contracts signed with the financial institutional branding revenue stream. Wildash also mentions "" provision of financial institution equipment "" and I wonder what surprises lie in store with this revenue stream ? - any ideas anyone ? Finally as I keep going on about this I think some time next year we'll see a $2.20 charge slip through with no punter resistance as almost no-one is going to decline a transaction for another 20 cents. Not that they would anyway because the majority of CUS machines don't compete with bank ATM's. At 6 million trans a month that's $15M dropping to the bottom line. The only thing that would stop them is the potential negative media coverage but I'm sure they will find a way to handle this as well.
