You know from 2008, we have looked back at the US housing crash. In 5-10 years we will look back on Aust housing crash (probably break records) and in a few years we MAY look back on the start of Sundance taking off. The iron ore IS sitting there. That cannot change, however many conclusions can occur. with the civil war there now (nth,west) and, could it spread to the southern ? Could the Govt also do same- if they are corrupt- possible? Who would protect the property in a corrupt country and system and all that. Could SDL simply run out of money and CR's and others take it over and we lose all our holdings. So many possibilities- some less likely than others- yes but life there is diff to the "paradise" we live in here with checks and balances. ARE these factors keeping the "money grabers" (trading places) at bay? The plus points. With our country possibly going into a long overdue recession, disaster blah blah, i happy this wealth is in Africa the downturn here wont effect it. In fact having your stocks in various countries isnt the worst idea you could have- NOW! We have just traded off some debt to give some "higher class" haha on our books even if it further waters down the registry. If we can keep building quality, we can only look more attractive to financiers. We are also lucky the mine is deep sth of the trouble so might get through this but a govt change/takeover might happen if the reports are true of severity; even if orderly. Things might get really iffy as it falls under the laws of the land (eg- south Africa disaster- lets hope not ) I like Cameroon, there is incredible potential seen in its early days but the war between the factions and the wealth of Cam is at stake- The Govt is backing the French side against the english i believe and they are also siding with the Chinese who are actively involved with Africa in general. I prey SDL wont be drawn into this armed conflict it if it spreads. Many on HC believe that the new "quality" could be the prelude to a possible funding arrangement and yes i agree but so far no more news not that they not asking the questions and negotiating. If that is so, they must release news of a change of things, so we should know soon if theres anything to this change. Till then we can only go on facts. So far no funder but i think we will be extended every 6 months as before as why not? To be honest i dont know if this project looks really attractive now, or very dicey given many factors... Just OMO and we could be celebrating tomorrow but.....
