FP are a DMA provider which is not the market maker model such as CMC, IG Markets etc. I went for them specifically because they are DMA and offer the widest range of cfd stocks, pretty much all of them except probably only 500 have margins less the 100%. But blue chip like WOW are 3% etc.
Take your point about the current volality of the market. Been taught alot of discipline the hard way in the last 3 months so its probably good to start in a difficult market!
As I said, I only seem to be able to trade by intraday as well at the moment.
