Yeah, the fact she owns nearly 5%, just below the reporting threshold, yet doesn’t appear on the top 20 does give a lot more credence to some of the takeover ‘conspiracy’ theories that have been bandied about (including by me). It also explains the sudden wall the share price has hit whenever it has threatened to pass 24 cents. It also explains why we’ve had a few new posters take a sudden, determined, and negative interest in STX.
You can be pretty certain this information was leaked by the company.

I was leaning more towards a “ASX 200 exit” explanation of the recent shorting activity. I am now leaning back towards the idea that a lot of the shorts are fake between-account bot trades with a strategic goal in mind.
