My understanding is that one of the drivers of increased money supply has been the significant slowing of the velocity of money within the system, as business activity reduces.
The money supply has apparently been increased to "liquefy" the financial system .
It's hard to see much happening to the gold price until a 'black swan'event changes context and general perspective.
