My understanding by the "experts" is to keep the people who get displaced in countries near to the problem area, as these locations are similar to what they are use to, and when the troubles are over the refugees can be easily moved back to their homeland and help build a better place.
As per usual SHY will bleat all she can and worry about what the world thinks about our standing, get real, they know we are a soft touch, and cave in as we have our fair share of do-gooders who are only to happy to spend other peoples hard earned money.
