Seasonality is likely to be a less significant factor in the dynamics of this outbreak in these early stages.
As it is a new virus it will likely prove a pattern of decreasing virulence, the most aggressive strains will spread quickly killing their hosts, do you see the blind alley that that evolution strategy leads to ?? subsequent mutations/strains with less virulence then take hold which then infect many more individuals killing less and less as they radiate out into their hosts and as such are affected by seasonal factors as they become "just another virus"
