Straits to conduct strategic review

Sydney - Thursday - December 4: (RWE Aust Business News) -
Straits Resources (ASX:SRL) has received unsolicited expressions of
interest in respect of its 47.1 per cent holding in Straits Asia
Resources.
Straits has also noted the sustained period of undervaluing its
interest in Straits Asia, reflected in its market capitalisation on the
ASX.
It therefore has decided to conduct a strategic review to
determine if there is an appropriate proposal that is in the best
intersts of its shareholders.
Straits Asia will co-operate in the strategic review.
"The interest shown by various parties in our strategic stake is
testament to the attractiveness of Straits Asia's business and we are
always prepared to explore options which would re-position both Straits
Resources and Straits Asia for future growth," chief executive Milan
Jerkovic said.
