Rastus, I agree with you when daytrading, to average down is not recommended in many cases but taking straegic positions in stocks by buying in tranches from one price downwards is a different barrel of monkeys. This is what the financial institutions do.
This one will follow market sentiment until we hear further and given that the global macros are under severe pressure she has wilted. I still maintain that anything under 2.14 is very good buying assuming one has faith in the current market conditions. Many burnt fingers on this one but she'll turn and I'll make money IMO. No exposed buyer as yet.
The market forces are more complicted than I thought on GPT - someone wants her badly and I would think that either Barclays or the C/Wlth are possible buyers. We'll know very soon IMO. The selling rpessure is still very sig as I would think AMP are still dropping their bundle.
