Thanks. I agree - fundamentally nothing much has changed for the materials sector - the commodities bubble hasn't burst (....yet!)
If some of the fundies are getting ready to go long the financials, I'll happily short their rallies! On what basis are they going long I wonder - is it just that the financials have been heavily sold down and so they think the banks are sure to rebound stronger than other sectors? Or do they think that the p/e ratios are compelling (in the possibly mistaken belief that the future 'p' part of the ratio can be known for certain.) Either way, I'll make money from that nfi logic!
If I had to be long any sectors on this market it would be XHJ (Healthcare) and XMJ (Materials.)
