Hi all,
We are essentially on count-down mode now as CAZA O&G has stated that drilling at Arran will occur "on or before" Dec 15. I suspect CAZA's recent cap raising with its intended aim to accelerate their drilling plans in Texas and Louisiana, will possibly result in drilling at Marian Baker #1 occurring before Dec 15. That's my opinion only.
The Amazon prospect is by all means a monster target. It's recent upgrade up to 600 billion cubic feet of natural gas and up to 60 million barrels of oil, will certainly have investors watching this carefully. Compliment this with their next upcoming play, Thames prospect, and we looking at 500 to 750 billion cubic feet of gas and 50 to 75 million barrels of oil in total. I've also taken a stake myself before drilling commences given that odds of success have also been ranked high by ISIS Petroleum, an independent consulting Co.
Clearly Caza O&G are taking this target very seriously. I note from a recent article that they spotted these potentially "company-making prospects" using an extremely large 3D dataset they've acquired from distressed sellers back in 2004. Basically it consisted of numerous smaller surveys which the Caza O&G team has collated and reprocessed consisting of data spanning over 20,720 sq kilometers (or 8,000sm). With that much data at-hand then you know these targets have got to be good!
The roadshow I suspect should be kicking off soon. With increased awareness of the potentially enormous O&G plays about to unfold, I would speculate that investor interest will be strong.
