Just a look at all the players in the region.

We know the artisanals have been working the area for decades. Then in walked Gemfields in circa 2009, and Montepuez Rubies were showcased to the world. It seems the Regius boys who had been working with diamonds, took note, and began hoovering up ruby leases in the area eventually in 2015 vending the three licences in red into MUS.

Gemfields Leases in Blue, MUS in Red:

Then we had lease 8245L vended into MUS. This is the ruby in the crown!! Very rich secondary deposit:

So we now have some new players in the region ... Battery Minerals has the lease to the north of us. They have 25%, while the other 75% is held by their partner Ruby Lda.

They have been exploring this block for a few years now, and looks like they have set up a new entity called Beleza Ruby mine, and  might be trying to float it at some point, according to their website....

Then just recently we have had news of the Canadian company Fura with 3 leases:

Interestingly, one of their leases, 3868L was previously owned by Regius Resources via one of their companies. Looks like they must have sold it on to Fura, as the Mozambique Mining Portal still has it registered to the original native applicant. IMO is is worthless. Rubies are not even listed in he exploration application!

The lease circled in orange is now a granted mining lease owned by a local company. Not sure of any other partner, and nothing much else known!

Finally Regius still seem to own further leases, which were hinted about in the recent announcement as possibly being vended into Mustang. Not sure if it is these three below that we know are owned by their sub-company, or if they have others.

I have also overlaid all the occurrences of artisanal mining in the area, which is a good indication of ruby mineralization. Besides, GEM, it is clear that Regius/MUS has cherry picked the best!
