Montgomery runs very concentrated portfolios and has not disclosed Sirtex as one of its ten biggest completed holdings in the Montgomery Fund (it does not disclose holdings it is in the process of buying or selling) since December 2014. Various stocks have moved into the top ten, out and back again in the period since. Like all fund managers they disclose their holdings in the hope that readers follow them in and the reverse applies too. If a share price goes down when they disclose that they are out it may move back into what they consider the value zone. Roger's statements are informative but they are made for a reason.
