The October monthly report provides a summary of the thoughts from Kerr and Andrew at the Platinum Capital AGM. I thought this point from Andrew Clifford very interesting:
"It is highly probable that within China are the investment opportunities of a generation; most fund managers still ignore this."
I can't remember reading or watching it in a video, but I recall Kerr stating that if they actually followed what their research told them about portfolio allocation, they would have a much higher allocation weighted towards China - but they actually went against this believing it would freak the market too much. If you really want to follow this view, you'd have to go and buy PAI or the Platinum Asia Fund instead.
