A ratings downgrade is to be expected IMHO. AMP is selling 60% their most profitable asset, and for zero premium, despite giving away control. And Ares will most likely have 100% in five years. It beggars belief really. They're left with a stinking carcass that is barely profitable, and which they need to be successful in turning around (so far, no luck there). Thus the ratings review.
