sck, you have a good insight to look at the numbers in that way and they do mean something in so much as they are alerting you to the building presence of value traders, zone players, who'll only come out to play when the percentages are right, the better (read: lower) those % become the higher the level you'll see of positive divergence, however, this being a bear phase and unlike a bull phase the time factor (arguably, the most important factor now) has become a major component of how deep this retracement has to go, thus, each dip enough technical indicia, like money flows, show divergence as an intrusion to the trend rather than an injection supportive to an uptrend......

......ideally, for mine, a strong technical and fundamental flush is required which may need to go below the 09 low, albeit generational, that kind of click sentiment needs to switch for the mass to become bears and make indented bulls of value players who really move mass cap flows, to see their ideas of decade over decade measures of value become their launch pad.......

frankly, imo, ime, when we move from "this is the bargain of a lifetime" in a chat room to "this is the best price/opportunity to get out" then, maybe, we'll see the xjo trudge a new incline.......again, that may require a move to below the 09 level to get a psyche shift

worse still for the retirees, which i think is most likely, is a protracted sideways series of strong fakes, the worse kind of period, like the 70's, still implying the worse is yet to come but no indication can be garnered as to when that is likely to occurr......great for short term trades, garbage for investment.......

sck, those value buys in that IC chart youve put up look like the first phase of buying probes, a series of buy the dips should bring many more and for that to happen the index needs to decline......someone buys all that falling volume at the low(s)......the same people who sell all that rising volume at the high(s).......
