The price question of BTC for me is what happens when the unstoppable force of halfening meets the irresistable wall of shortening futures. If you dig around on the internet you will find predictions of high future prices based on the halfening and the past history of halfening but they do not take into account the newly built future markets .
That is not to say that halfening will not have an effect if the price is held to low for to long by future shorts miners will withdraw reducing the amount of new supply even more ,in itself a price increasing action.
