I've only had time to catch up on this now. I dispute that the chairman would resign due to troubles with the silex process as he would have very little responsibility/information on the ongoings of gle.
If this was due to internal conflict I think it would be far more likely regarding the corporate structure of the company, or persistence with the other business units. This is speculation, although two board members leaving for personal reasons stinks.
