OPM has signed an agreement with MEP (early last year) to market the Marisan Water Treateent technology.

Below are details of the Parent Company of the Technology and what it aims to do.

Given it concentrates on Water ballast this might give us some clues as to their "substantial" organisations.

Ballast water disinfection and processing systems. The introduction of invasive marine species through Ballast Water to new environments is a major threat to the world’s oceans. Biota (marine plants, animals and microbes) in seawater is portable, but MEP’s MariSan™ Ballast Water Treatment System prevents their discharge into new environments where they can disrupt the native ecology and economy, and even spread diseases in humans.

Rigorous discharge standards are being proposed worldwide for eliminating the risks associated from ballast water. Independent tests indicate that MEP’s MariSan™ Ballast Water Treatment System exceeds those standards.

MEP’s MariSan™ System filters ballast water as it is loaded onto ships removing organisms larger than 50 microns. During discharge, ionized gases and traces of bromine produced through electro-chemistry from ambient air and the ballast water, disinfect the ballast water to eliminate most biota.
