ONCE AGAIN arrogant and defiant comments by Axiom Company (as in the interview with) try to make a mockery of and taunt the current Solomon government, its laws, its people and their customary traditions.
Axiom KB Rugby League opening up in Honiara this week is yet another shows of defiant against NCRA government warnings.
It has been clearly stated by the Danny Philip National Government to all involved and interested in the Isabel Nickel projects that government investigations into the ?highly suspicious circumstances and irregularities surrounding the land survey, registration and subsequent perpetual lease and the process under which they were issued to Axiom KB? is being conducted and until this is completed all interests of nickel mining were to cease! Axiom Company was even ?warned? by the PM?s office.
The perpetual lease process were followed in a three day period immediately following issued of a Prospecting
License and Letter Of Intent to Axiom KB and again under what the PM?s office has seriously charged as ?highly suspicious and irregular circumstances.?
The then Minister of Mines who issued the PL and LOI to Axiom did so on the eve of his dismissal from office for reasons that are already before the courts. Already the actions of Axiom company and the few local landowners supporting them have caused much distrust and courts actions initiated by their own families.
Top public servants in both the lands office and the mines department have since on record described as ?being placed under massive pressures by the same dismissed minister? for them to comply with his instructions and it is surely these instructions and it is surely these instructions and the out come of same that are part of the governments investigations!
Further we have now witnessed some of those top public servants having been dismissed from their positions with the reasons for their dismissal being withheld.
WHY?
How much longer is our nation going to tolerate the disrespectful and blatant arrogance of Axiom people towards our country while the national government continues its investigations?
While others who tendered through the international process show respect and follow directives waiting for the government to release the findings and there directives of the inquiry.
They are still waiting!
From this you could only assume that there may be truth to the comments made by the opposition?s government?
?One set of rules for Axiom and another for everyone else!?
Let us hope and believe that the current NCRA government is not a party to this behavior, and will come out fighting strongly for the future of the Solomon people that in trusted them with their sovereign nation.
