I have not seen these two press articles posted here both are current this week.
The citizen is one persons opinion however the Provincial Govt release below is IMO very serious when read quietly. I trust AVQ's lack of comment to its shareholders is not related in nay way to these and past government comments.
I strongly suggest AVQ focus on Qld and VN while working on SI quietly in background and stop pinning their Public hopes here until these issues are resolved.
The market demands to see sodildarity of fund expenditure with a solid potential outcome not clouded in suspicion, tainted claims, charges of impropriety etc.
IMO AVQ does not have the excess capital or cash flow to have its main focus on such a volatile resource play while publicly giving $100k plus and more donations out.
AVQ is an exploration company at this stage, I trust it gets back to this role as its primary focus.

We will not take side: PS
    Tuesday, 05 July 2011 14:35 BRADFORD THEONOMI

ISABEL PROVINCIAL Government will not take side in the ongoing controversy over the nickel-mining project on San Jorge and Takata. Isabel Provincial Secretary, Adrian Toni told this paper in an interview.
Mr Toni said the Province will not take side on any of the two companies that are currently having interest on the nickel deposit on Isabel.
At the moment there is an investigation into the two companies over the legality of their business status which the government of Isabel is not part of.
?Let me make it clear here that the Isabel Provincial Government has no association whatsoever with the two companies.
?We will only accept any company that abide by the legal procedures according to the sovereign law of this country.?
An internal investigation is being carried out by the Prime Minister Office into the nickel project which has come under the spotlight.
The investigation was commissioned to find out the legal status of Sumitomo and Axiom, how they were given their current business status here in the country.
