    @Sailor FNQ; one of my brothers has owned a Tesla for several years now.

    It's guilty of 'ghost braking' - slams brakes on while travelling at speed even thought there's NOTHING in front, behind or even to the sides. It's been supposedly attended to multiple times but STILL does it! He's now part of a class action seeking compensation.

    Herein lies my concern about automated systems. They failed the Qantas pilots who safely recovered from that blown RR engine which exploded through the engine cowling. The pilots save five hundred lives - NOT the automated computer systems!

    Such events beg questions about driverless cars, pilotless planes and trains.

    PS: Our Honda Accord had similar issues to my brother's Tesla - Honda fixed that, they effectively disabled the safety braking system altogether and when I queried such ...
