Did you get a chance to read Armstrongs "It's just time" yet.....pretty heavy going with 70 odd pages but worth reading through. He covers your question. He believes the 224 years started in 1775 when the Brtish took action against militia in Massachusetts just prior to the American war on indepedance. He belives the US reached its political peak in 1999.....so you can start the decline from there. 2071 may get ugly for them according to the model.
