I think that range requirement is silly. Most Australian cars go to work and back as a maximum in a day. Perhaps once a year a long road trip for a holiday.
There is no point lugging a heavy battery about every day for once a year use. i would prefer to buy a car with a 300km range, perhaps with an option "extension Pack".
