more than 15 years ago the Chinese set about sending Neodymium producing companies broke so as to control the worlds rare earth magnet makets. They did this though price manipulation of a market they controlled. The Japanese having been subjected to restrictions and tariffs backed lynas and to ensure their supply. amoly the usa produced went under and is now being resurrected with the help of Lynas. We just need someone with the balls to say we will not let any one country control a resource.
