on cyclones, it was @trashcansinatra made the recognition of the sea temperatures just off NSW (Syd) coast. he's correct that a cyclone could boil up out of that little (massive) hot current moving from oop north. that if if the atmospheric turbulence's were right too. its a scary prospect alright. we get strong enough winds here at times but our homes round these parts aren't built to cyclone standards.

what next years brings is worrying. deniers disbelieve it but these extraordinary warm currents are clearly an effect of GW.
