35% of QBE's investment funds (approx $9 billion of $26 billion) is held in AUD.
A 0.25% rate rise in Australia would equate to an extra investment income of $22.5 million p.a.
A 0.5% rate rise this year would double that not even considering compound interest.
This just shows how important rates are to QBE's profitability.
