re: shares on issue
Under the buyback rules they can only buy ordinary shares, not options. Also, the options are no longer trading, therefore they couldn't be bought back anyway now. The money received from the conversion of options will be used to buy back the shares. Any options not converted will lapse. It will be interesting to see if anyone misses the deadline and lets their money slip away .... that would be a great benefit to existing shareholders, though.
