The banks want debt reduced and the elders know they cant raise equity with current management hence they have to sell something. As Ruralco pointed out, if Futuris sold for too low a multiple will worsen debt ratios. Hence the only thing left to be sold at a decent price is Rural services. So in a sense it is a forced sale.
A better solution would be a change of management and an equity raising..!
