SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM APPOINTMENTS

Molopo Energy Limited ("Molopo") (ASX : MPO) is pleased to announce three executive appointments, effective 1 March 2012.

The appointees will be based in Molopo’s Calgary (Alberta) corporate office as key members of CEO and Managing Director Tim Granger’s senior leadership team.

In commenting on the appointments, Mr Granger said, "I am delighted to welcome the new executives to Molopo, particularly as each has extensive experience in our focus areas of Canada and the USA.

"I expect their skills and experience in developing top quartile oil and gas operations, as well as driving growth through both organic development and acquisitions, will enable them to immediately make a significant contribution to the Company.

"Importantly, these appointments mark another key step in the development of Molopo’s strategy, with a further shift of the Company’s leadership to North America through the transition of the CFO role to Calgary."


A brief summary of each appointment is below:

Chief Financial Officer – Mr Paul Belliveau

Paul Belliveau has extensive experience as a chief financial officer in four publicly traded Oil and Gas Trusts/Companies and a major natural gas transmission company. He held increasingly senior positions in Mobil Oil over a 20 year career with that company, followed by CFO roles at four other oil and gas companies, the most recent being the role of CFO of Bronco Energy Ltd based in Calgary. Paul is a Chartered Accountant, with extensive oil and gas, equity and debt capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience.

Chief Operating Officer – Ms Shannon Ouellette

Shannon Ouellette has over 10 years of management experience and 19 years of engineering experience. In her previous role as Compton Petroleum’s Chief Operating Officer, she was responsible for development teams including facilities and drilling/completions as well as the company’s entire field operations. Shannon holds a Masters in Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.


Vice President Business Development and Land – Mr David Horn

David Horn has over 25 years of experience in M&A and Land. During that time he has been involved with over $5 billion in corporate and asset acquisitions and divestments, and has extensive experience in managing Land and M&A activity in small to major Exploration & Production companies. David holds Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Calgary.

The Company thanks Stephen Arrowsmith, who will continue with Molopo to ensure the smooth transition of the CFO role to North America through the end of the financial year.

The Company also wishes to thank VP Engineering, Curtis Schoenfeld and VP Land, Calvin House for their contributions during their time with Molopo.
