Do you think they have the right to sue you because you have asked an authority to take them away? Id be surprised at just how many people on hotcopper probably do do things for the not well off .

But that does not mean they have take them into their own home . And if they refuse they have the right to be sued for compensation .

You have just given the rights to your house away and yes its hard to get rid of squatters if they choose to .

Why not let them crowd fund the compensation then? Say the Un pay the compensation . They didnt stop the reason they fled ?

Yes it will go round in circles but start simply with your own property or space and work outwards to whats fair . Then pub test it . May sound silly .
