Many posters seem to be viewing Suda and the ASX as some kind of "show" - well I suppose they are to the extent that they entertain, but it is not a show in essence and Steve Carter is not the MC
Now is the time to make an announcement and the build-up promises this and the last announcement promised that - all comments that totally miss the point and, for that matter, reality.
The root of all disappointments are expectations and the expectations of Suda have been simplistic. If you are going to base your expectations on announcements without any qualification then expect the unexpected.
"Build a better mousetrap, and the world will beat a path to your door" - I don't know if anything so untrue has ever been said with such good intent. We are building that mousetrap and improving on it all the time but it's up to us to beat the path - and that's what's been happening. Nick started it with maximising our exposure to the world and now its up to David and Andrew to bring it home.
How others respond to Suda, its technology and its announcements is beyond Suda's remit and the disappointments might continue for some time yet. They can only do their best. I'm of the personal opinion that we are punching way above our weight and slowly moving towards cash-flow positive territory. When that happens and the revenue streams start compounding it will only be a matter of time before growth becomes exponential.
As was explained at the AGM, things aren't as straightforward as they might appear. A good example is the ASX requirement that we name parties when we make an announcement. If they other party does not wish to be named then suddenly we can neither announce or non-announce. We are put into an impossible position.
In my view we have good scientists, good management and good deal-makers all of whom have been and still are on a learning curve. Perhaps a new chairman who brings something to the table would be a good idea, but for the corporate minnow that we are, we are doing well and the market or a buyer will eventually be compelled to take note.
