Katherine has just entered a 72 hour lockdown so Covid is spiking up that way. It would be common practice for residents of Wadeye to travel to Katherine or other centers for medicine, food, clothes etc etc. If they brought the virus back into the community it would be carnage. It makes good sense to say they must be double vaxed to leave the community as it protects the majority of others.
