The alignment of drilling done by previous management of Cork Tree Well indicates they were incorrect in their prediction of azimuth for the plane of mineralisation. Relatively easy to see in retrospect. A1 was able to take advantage of previous errors. Knowing where the mineralisation was not present allowed them to identify where it actually is.

The Cork Tree Well/Brightstar Delta gold mineralisation is known over a strike length of about 3km. It is open at depth and quite possibly along strike as well. There are reasonably defined structural and lithological controls. Primary mineralisation is associated with a regional scale shear zone within localised structures called riedel shears. Boundaries of doleritic igneous bodies within the regional shear may be mineralised as well. In addition there is at least one near surface alluvial palaeochannel of unknown extent.

Water access presented a problem for the previous operator but the two pits have now filled with surface water and are additional potential water sources.

The previous MD led the team that discovered the current known extent of this resource. A few uncharitable posters may want to rewrite this bit of A1 history but the fact remains that Delta is a very large gold mineralised body. Its projected grade may be legitimately questioned but the reality is that A1 has never had access to the funds needed to thoroughly test a resource of this size. Building funds by early mining the Southern deposits was the strategy. Hasn't worked out ...yet, may not ever work out if Brightstar Alpha doesn't come up to scratch.
