Commensurate refers to proportion or degree. In this case, risk.
In other words you are rewarded appropriately depending on the risk you take. If you take the risk now, if the signing occurs you will be rewarded appropriately (ie. a lot). If you take less of a risk and buy after the signing you will also be rewarded appropriately (ie. not as much).
