"The Directors of Coziron Resources Ltd (ASX: CZR) are pleased to announce the commencement of a drilling program at the Kunyit Sungai Iron Ore Project (“Kunyit”), located in Western Sumatra, Indonesia.
The proposed program comprises up to 600 metres of Diamond Drilling over approximately six holes. The program is due to be completed over the next three weeks and is designed to test the lateral extent of the magnetite mineralisation. The Kunyit project offers a number of significant targets for the discovery of massive high grade magnetite. Three main prospect areas have been identified, namely Bukit 1, Bukit 2 and Bukit 3; which extend approximately five kilometres in strike. The three Bukits appear as resistant magnetite hills and the vertical dimensions and under surface extent of each Bukit is unknown and requires testing to determine a potential resource. Recent and on going trenching at the Kunyit Project has to some extent confirmed magnetite mineralisation at depth, however due to the thick colluvium cover (+5 metres) in the vicinity of the Bukits, drill hole test work is warranted.
The Kunyit Project has produced significant historic regional geochemical results with consistent grades of around 62%Fe; with some grades up to 66.30%Fe. Composite trench sampling has peaked at 89.25%Fe. The geological model interpreted indicates a shear hosted mineralised zone within a sub-vertical
structure, varying in width; up to a few hundred metres as at Bukit 3. The shear structures have provided a conduit for iron rich intrusives and forms an irregular dyke-like body with occasional thickenings that have weathered to leave resistant or residual boulders of magnetite on the hilltops. The Kunyit project is located within the Barisan Mountain Range, approximately 130 kilometres east-south-east of the deep sea port town of Padang in West Sumatra. Access from Padang can be achieved via Kotabaru Township, approximately thirty seven (37) kilometres north-north-east
of Kunyit. Kotabaru is well serviced with infrastructure whilst also being linked to the Trans Sumatran Highway and Railway Line.
