There are absolutely no intelligence or educational qualifications required in order to become a local government councillor ... you get whatever vested interest you or others vote for.
MEL would either have been prosecuted and fined if in breach of license conditions.
MEL have already remediated all bar two existing wells and they have just given a commitment the remaining 2 will be remediated as part of any agreed NSW compensation package.
Looks like that Councillor can't even read the local rag.
