As explained to me by SXG senior officer, there is a difference between the Australian & Canadian approach to releasing a JORC.
In Australia, generally coys get a JORC out asap - so the starting point is a lower JORC.
The Canadian approach is to wait, keep drilling and release a larger JORC first up. They believe that this approach optimises shareholder value and makes fund raising for the actual mine easier and cheaper.
Nothing sinister involved.
SXG management has been outstanding so far - I'll trust their instincts on this & wait for the larger JORC.
