Dear Sir/Madam,
HIGH GRADE RESULTS FROM ERIN JV
Avoca Resources Limited (Avoca) is pleased to announce new high grade results from
recently completed diamond drill holes at its 90% owned Erin Prospect, in Higginsville,
Western Australia. Results include:
0.7m @ 159 g/t gold from 191.4m in diamond hole ERID008
0.4m @ 24.6 g/t gold from 188.3m in diamond hole ERID010
1.0m @ 10.0 g/t gold from 217.7m in diamond hole ERID008
0.9m @ 9.7 g/t gold from 118.9m in diamond hole ERID007
The drilling was designed to test for depth continuity of the historically mined shoots within
the 800m long Erin Line. Drill holes ERID008 and ERID010 have successfully intersected
high grade veins interpreted to have continuity over at least an 80m strike, and remain
open to the north and south. Further drilling is required to extend the strike continuity and
depth potential of the high grade intersections. The target deposit at Erin is an
underground Athena style high grade reef (+100,000 ounces) amenable to conventional
mechanised mining methods.
The results continue to affirm the Avoca Directors’ view that Higginsville will develop into a +10 year gold mining operation.
Background to Erin Line
The Erin Prospect covers the Historical Higginsville workings located 3km south of
Avoca’s 800,000 ounce high grade Trident deposit and 600m west of Avoca’s 130,000
ounce Fairplay deposit as shown in Figure 1. Historical production from extensive shallow
workings over an 800m strike length locally known as the Erin Line was the largest
producer in the Higginsville area prior to modern exploration and mining.
